My identity.

My identity is NOT in how good I am, how much I get done from my "to do" list, how kind I am to my HH, what others think of me, what my children think of me, what I look like in the mirror, what my BMI is, what my glucose level is, how often I exercise, or study His Word.

NO.  My identity is who I am in Christ.

I am His treasured possession! (Deut 7:16)💎

I am the apple of His eye! (Deut 32:10) 🍎

Peter 2:4-10 adds a flurry of who else I am in Christ.

I am a living stone.

I am chosen.

I am precious in God's sight.

I am (part of) a royal priesthood.

I am (part of) a holy nation.

I am person of His own possession.

I am God's person who has received mercy.

1 Peter 2:4-10  [4] As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, [5] you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. [6] For it stands in Scripture:     “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious.....[9] But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. [10] Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

THANK YOU GOD!  ALL of this (and so much more) is what YOU say about who I am.  You and your Word are my definitive authority.  Your description of me is nothing like the derisive thoughts in my head.
